My husband and I probably do 50/50 laundry – some weeks he does far more than me, actually. I put away our daughter’s clothes, but not his – either he does it, or he lives out of a laundry basket! I also don’t iron his clothes, he’s always done that himself.
Uh-oh. Are you feeling overwhelmed? If so, then my answer isn’t going to help much. *I* do all of the laundry for my husband, myself and my two boys. My daughter (age 17) only started doing hers a year ago — but I mention that with reservation. I can’t count how many times, as she’s running out the door for school, she’ll shout, “Mom! Can you please do a load of darks? I need my uniform/jeans/shirt/sweater/etc. for tomorrow and I have practice tonight!” So, yeah, I pretty much do all of the laundry, all of the time…and put it away…..sigh.
My (likely soon to be ex) wife and I split the laundry chores. She does hers, I do mine, and we do the kids’ laundry as time and circumstances dictate (ie, we split the duties, but there’s no formal arrangement; we just do what needs to be done when it can no longer be put off).
Three young boys, one of whom is currently working on giving up the nighttime diaper (and I’m typically the one who takes care of *those* wet sheets, alas).
Also, since our oldest (7 years) wants to earn money to buy his own Lego bricks, we sometimes allow him to earn a buck by folding his or his brothers’ laundry. Eventually, he’ll have to do his own without getting paid, but thems how chores work….
My husband does a lot of laundry, but he rarely folds it and puts it away. So it’ll sit in baskets getting more wrinkled every second. I usually get pissed and put it away at some point.
I do all the laundry in the house, though I do occasionally get my husband to help me put clothes away. I actually like sorting and doing, so my husband does the kitchen, and I do the laundry!
I do the laundry. Occasionally hubs washes the clothes, hangs them on the line and brings them in, but I ALWAYS fold them and put them away. In the kids’ drawers, but not in his.
Yup. Laundry. NEVER ending. In fact, I probably should put a load (or seven) in today.
I do the laundry and I fold it. If I didn’t, my husband’s socks would never match each other.
I don’t put it away. To put away means to put in a specific place. I don’t there are any specific places in that black hole he calls a closet. I leave it on the bed.
i do… and i fold it because i hate the way he folds things and i put it away because if i don’t it sits in the basket and then eventually gets confused for dirty stuff when its not.
No!! They are capable of putting up their own stuff. They even washed their clothes once they were old enough. My husband does his own laundry, not sure how I convinced him to do it though. I help him out now that the kids are all grown but only when he is extra busy at work…….:D
I probably do about 90% cause I’m home. We had this great routine going last year where if one of us washed and folded the other put away but yeah that seems to have gone out the window… now it’s mainly me. Every second month or so he does one major laundry day… although lots of times he leaves the clean clothes sitting.

I do the laundry. I hate it. I do it every single freaking day, or at least it *feels* like I do.
Unless hubs pisses me off. Then I go on “underwear strike” and refuse to wash his unmentionables.
