My Sunshine (at 22 months)

Smiling to put stars in his eyes, roses on his cheeks, running with

Everything wiggling side to side, he runs full wiggle towards me,

And I wait, expecting him to say “Juice, peease.” But he smashes his

Nose into my thigh, wrapping his arms around my knees.

That’s one of the best feelings – the leg-wrap-hug.

I love the full run, crash into, love spilling over type of hugs. When they run into you like that you can feel the love coming out of their bodies and rush into yours. I never get tired of Tooters doing that to me and she is 7 years. However soon she will be running all the way over me as strong and as big as she is getting lol. Will someone help me up off of the floor please??

OMG, I love this. I love those hugs and I love the way you wrote about it. I could actually feel one of those hugs. They are the best.

But do the leg hugs ever cause you to lose your balance and fall over backwards? I used to get mixed results from those…

ck~ I know! I didn’t know what I was missing when Evan never did it.
sunny~ You have five years or so, depending when she’ll start hating you. 🙂 By then she will be knocking you over.
    tlc~ Yes, they are!
court~ That’s such a great name for them!
Gibby~ I tried to bottle them up in a poem for you. 🙂
KathyB!~ When he figures out how to pump his arms to get speed, then I’ll start getting worried.
