The Husband: So, Tornado E, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Tornado E: A police officer!
The Husband: Why?
Tornado E: Because that’s what Papi did, and I want to be just like Papi!
The Husband: Do you know what Daddy does?
Really, you think working on the computer and talking on the phone all day is going to interest a four-year-old who has been in a police car and looked at the uniform? Yeah. Me neither.

Poor dad! But you’re right – I’m not sure the tap tap tap of a computer keyboard can beat the flash of a badge or the whirrrr of a police car siren!

haha! Yes, police officer is much more exciting.
Bert wants to be a chef. I keep telling him he can own his own restaurant and come cook us Thanksgiving dinner. So far he’s game. 🙂

Yeah, he needs to put on a costume and some other stuff if he’s gonna compete with a policeman! Maybe he should look into a cape.

jane~ The funny part is The Husband has always said he didn’t want his kids to follow in his footsteps.
joz~ Oooh, a chef. You’re so lucky.
KathyB!~ You’re brilliant. I’m going to suggest the cape. And take pictures.

Oh, poor Hubs! My husband has a job like that also. A great job to lots of adults, but to children, it couldn’t seem any more boring. I’d go for the cape also. Great suggestion!

Miss D. has expressed great interest in becoming a grocery store clerk. The power of the cash register! It’s irresistible.

Poor guy, he just can’t catch a break, can he. Maybe he could take a class with him, like Tai-kwan-do or something. A few fancy kicks, break a couple of boards. That should impress him.
